Okay but are you seriously arguing that when—not if—trans, nonbinary, generally-read-as-female-and-probably-not-out teenagers are attacked, assaulted and/or thrown out of the house because they got pregnant and were legally obligated to inform their parents THIS IS AN “ACCIDENT?” You think that if the policy-makers were alerted to their situation, that they would be like “oh, our bad, we’ll fix that right up for you?”

I don’t think that combating cissexism in feminist activism is NEARLY as simple as just replacing the word “woman” with “uterus-bearer,” and I think it’s important to be tactical about these things. But no, I’m sorry, if I got pregnant it would be the anti-choicers’ intention that I wind up inducing an abortion on my own. 

Also, honestly, I don’t know why we’re talking so much about language. Healthcare disparities between cis people and trans people are real and HUGE and they absolutely make physically accessing resources like birth control, pap-smears, sperm-banking, and abortion more traumatizing and less likely to happen at all. Why are we talking about “inclusiveness?” We’re not even there yet, I don’t think. If cis feminists—like all cis people—would stop actively hurting us, we would be much better off than we are now.

When I’m talking about the way people frame shit that does not solely effect cis women all around cis women and only cis women? I am not just talking about the goddamn language. I’m talking about acknowledging the fuckery that trans people go through. About admitting that these are not solely cis women’s issues and in some cases not at all cis women’s issues.

The fact that they can’t even be bothered to try and simply use language that doesn’t directly erase us is just the fucking icing on the goddamn cake of the privileging of cis people’s experiences and lives over ours.
